Heald Green, is a suburb of Stockport, Greater Manchester and retains the popular ‘SK8’ postcode. House prices remain on the upward trajectory and are available at a slightly lesser premium than nearby Cheadle and Wilmslow (for now). A great postcode, excellent transport systems and a steadily growing community hub, means Heald Green has a lot to offer for the discerning buyer.

Indeed Heald Green homeowners and landlords have much to celebrate given that overall sold prices in Heald Green over the last year were 10% up on the previous year and 22% over the last ten years. A fantastic increase and we expect to continue on this trajectory, having experienced one of our busiest winter periods since Callaghans opened in the village over ten years ago. Our most popular property type over the last 12 months has been the 1930s style semi-detached homes that come with great living space and generous gardens.

However, it is lucky in that it has managed to retain two major high street banks, Lloyds and NatWest which makes it a busy business hub. Like all villages, a charity shop or two comes as standard, but the popular St Ann’s Hospice shop is excellent for a browse and for those looking to buy nearly-new baby items.  Moreover, If variety is the spice of life Heald Green doesn’t disappoint; with Tesco’s and the Co-op for the quick dash to the shops after work or Noor’s who house all the fragrant breads and spices you’ll ever need to make your weekly curry. There is a cultural mix of families in the area and that is shown by the availability of religious establishments, including Christ Church, Cheadle Mosque and St Catherine’s Church of England to name a few.
